Our Vision
At St Barnabas our Agenda for Action sets out five key areas:
WORSHIP: LITURGY, SACRAMENT, MUSIC AND PRAYER
We believe that we are called to be a Church whose worship is authentic and brought to life by God’s Holy Spirit. We hope that our worship will enable transforming and renewing encounters with the Living God. We pray that our worship will be a response to God’s love and an offering of our whole selves to Him
HOSPITALITY: WELCOME AND PASTORAL CARE
We believe that we are called to be a Church which is a community, where relationships are valued and people feel accepted and welcomed. We want to extend God’s own hospitality and care, giving freely, as we each have graciously received from Him
GROWING LIKE JESUS: IN FAITH, SERVICE & CHARACTER
We believe that are called to be a Church which offers opportunities for people to explore the Christian faith and to move on in their faith. We want to nurture disciples who are prayerful, faithful in serving God, growing in holiness and Christ-likeness, who work and live together and who are able to live out their faith where the Lord has placed them
STEWARDSHIP AND ADMINISTRATION
We believe that we are called to be a Church which values and uses the gifts God has given; gifts that enable the people of God to look to Him and to serve Him in ministry and mission
We believe that we are called to be a Church which expresses God’s concern for His world and which shares the good news of the love of God, with our local community and as we stand for justice and fairness locally and across the world.
