Help in deciding WHAT to give

There is no easy formula to decide how much to give and when.  It is very much a personal choice.  However, many of us find it helpful to have some suggestions. 

You might like to take another look at some principles for giving

Perhaps think in terms of a regular percentage of what you have coming in.  Some Christians refer back to the biblical concept of a tenth or a tithe and give 10% of their income.  The Church of England has challenged church member s to think of an initial target of 5% (or £1 in every £20) of their after tax income to and through the church and a similar amount to other work that helps build God’s kingdom.
