Youth Activities

It’s often said that Churches should value young people because they are the Church of tomorrow – at St Barnabas we don’t believe that – because we believe that young people are the Church of TODAY as well as the Church of tomorrow.

There are a range of ways in which young people share in being the Church of Today.

Sunday mornings

A discussion and faith exploring group for 11 to 16 year olds which meets during part of the 10am Sunday service. For details please speak to Carolyn Walford after the 10am service on a Sunday.

Soul Survivor / Momentum

Each August, for the past few years a group from St Barnabas has camped in a field with 12,000 other young people for the Soul Survivor festival. We have also sent a group to the 18+ Momentum Event. For more info please email us at stbarnabasnortholtpark@hotmail.co.uk

Youth Musicians

Music is a really important part of our worship at St Barnabas, we are really blessed to have some of our young people play instruments in the worship services. If you’d like to know more perhaps about joining in, please speak to Jane Nicholls after the 10am service on a Sunday – she is usually by the piano.

Servers

Servers help to ensure that the services go smoothly and their contribution is a fantastic offering to God which enhances our worship. Many of our children and young people have helped in this way. If you’d like to know more about being a server please call Ian on 07970 673704
